Databases & data modeling

I work with MySQL and PostgreSQL — the main database behind a current confidential project and Nattia’s internal projects. I’ve also worked with MongoDB and with SQL Server on legacy database audits for clients running older systems.

Versioned migrations

On that project I manage the schema with Flyway: every structural change is versioned and applied in a controlled way, not as loose scripts run by hand.

Dimensional modeling and BI

My time at Altia as a data analyst gave me real comfort with Power BI: migrating dashboards from Tableau, dimensional modeling, and translating business needs into modeling decisions. I apply that same modeling judgment today when designing the relational databases for that project and Nattia.

Vector databases

For that project’s RAG pipeline I also work with ChromaDB as the vector store — a different kind of database from relational (more detail in AI Integration, RAG & Local Models).
